sadly lucrative ≠ critically acclaimed. if those rules applied, imagine the shit that would be winning. some of the highest grossing films of all time include: transformers, 2012, TWILIGHT …

i agree that harry potter is amazing. i truly do. it’s my childhood. i’m not trying to be a dick. i’m just saying you have to look at it objectively, since that’s (generally) what the academy does.
